Questions people ask about Credit Clarity

Straight answers, including about what Credit Clarity deliberately doesn't do.

What exactly does Credit Clarity do?

You upload the CBS credit report PDF you already have, and Credit Clarity explains what each part of it means in plain English: risk grades, account status codes, default records, and enquiries. It describes what the report says. It does not advise you on what to do about it.

Is Credit Clarity affiliated with Credit Bureau Singapore (CBS)?

No. Credit Clarity is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Credit Bureau (Singapore) Pte Ltd, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, or any bank. CBS is the sole authoritative source for the content of your credit report.

Is Credit Clarity a licensed financial adviser?

No. Credit Clarity is not licensed, registered, or regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a financial adviser or financial institution. If you need financial advice, consult a MAS-licensed financial adviser or a recognised non-profit such as Credit Counselling Singapore (CCS).

What happens to my report after I upload it?

Your report is read once to generate your explanation, then discarded. The file and its contents are not stored afterward. See How It Works for the full process.

Will Credit Clarity tell me if I'll be approved for a loan or card?

No. Nothing Credit Clarity produces predicts, implies, or guarantees any outcome, including loan approval, credit score change, or a lender's decision. Explanations describe what the report currently says, not what will happen next.

Can Credit Clarity compare two reports over time?

Not in this version. Dual-report comparison is planned as a future paid tier and is not part of the current product.

How do I get in touch or ask for help?

Use the Feedback page to leave a comment, a suggestion, or a question. Name and email are both optional, but if you leave an email and ask for help, we'll reply. We don't share your details with anyone.

Who do I contact about the content of my actual credit report?

For questions about your report, contact CBS directly at 6565 6363 or consumer_services@creditbureau.com.sg. For questions about a specific account, contact your lender directly.

Is the explanation AI-generated? Could it be wrong?

Yes, explanations are produced by an AI system based on rules published by CBS and the content of the report you upload. While we aim for accuracy, AI-generated output can contain errors, and we do not independently verify the data CBS has recorded about you.

Still have a question?
