Programmes & Flags: DMP, ID Theft, SFRP, and MSF ComLink+

Beyond account-level status codes and risk grades, a CBS report can carry flags that mark participation in a specific programme, or a specific type of alert. These are less common than a standard status code, and each one has a distinct, defined meaning.

DMP: Debt Management Programme

A DMP flag indicates the individual is enrolled in a structured debt management programme, typically coordinated through Credit Counselling Singapore (CCS), where repayment terms across multiple creditors are consolidated into a single arrangement. The flag records participation; it doesn’t describe the specific terms of that arrangement, which sit with CCS and the participating lenders.

ID Theft alert

An ID theft flag indicates a report of suspected identity theft has been recorded, typically at the request of the individual after reporting fraudulent activity. It’s a marker intended to prompt extra caution from lenders reviewing the report, not a judgment about any specific account.

SFRP: Special Financial Relief Programme

SFRP-related flags reflect participation in a relief programme made available to individuals meeting specific eligibility criteria, coordinated with participating financial institutions. As with a DMP flag, the report shows that a programme applies; the terms sit with the coordinating body and lender.

An MSF ComLink+ marker relates to participation in the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s ComLink+ initiative, a government-linked support programme. Its appearance on a report reflects a linkage to that programme rather than anything about a specific account’s payment history.

Reading these flags

None of these flags are, by themselves, a positive or negative statement about a specific loan or card account. They describe programme participation or an alert status. Credit Clarity explains what a flag means and where it comes from; it does not interpret how a specific lender might factor a flag into any decision, since that sits outside what a report explanation can responsibly claim.
